BBQ pork is a great meal idea but really, unless you prepare enough food to feed a small town it’s not a practical meal to prepare. Not to mention the amount of time you need, and let’s be honest I have so little time the though scares me. This is a quick BBQ pulled pork recipe that used pork tenderloin and can be made in your slow cooker. The key to successful BBQ pork is the prep and liquid you cook it in before your BBQ sauce.
This recipe uses vinegar and Worcestershire sauce as a bitter agent that makes your pork ready for the full flavor of the BBQ sauce. There is also a bit of hot BBQ sauce to give you a depth of flavor you do not get from normal BBQ sauce alone. This can be omitted if desired.
This can be made using any size pork loin just be sure to adjust volumes if your far over the 3.5 lb pork loin I used. Just remember, the larger the pork loin, the more pulled pork you will have. You can easily serve this pork anyway your heart desires. It’s not overly saucy so it makes good sandwiches and it has a thicker consistency so you just eat it with a fork as well.
