There are Alternatives to Plain Water

Don’t like plain water?

Me either!! As I have been on the journey to get healthier I have been shown over and over again just how important water is to your body and overall health. But do you know what? I really do not like plain water. I mean I will drink it when I have too, especially during a workout, but I tend to choose other beverages over water when plain water is the only option.

Luckily for me, there are plenty of other people out there (or so it seems from all the products on the market) that dislike plain water as well. There are many different products available for purchase that are marketed to make water taste better, or really just make it taste like anything besides plain water. These enhancers come in many forms: powders, liquids, tablets etc, so there is something for everyone however the sheer amount of products out there will make your head spin.

Then there is the health aspect. Water is key to keeping your body functioning and your organs in good shape. There is a natural health aspect to plain water so why would you want to add an enhancer that minimizes those benefits? I personally don’t want to use a product like that and I think most people feel the same way. Let’s enhance the flavor of my water but keep all the junk out! The main ingredient to watch out for is artificial sweetener or added sugar. They can really take the healthy benefits of water and bring it right down.

So what can you do? I would suggest reading the ingredients very well or try a known better enhancer. I have a few that I love, but my newest favorite is H2wOw, a liquid enhancer I just learned about last month.  H2wOw just blew me away and I think you will love it too!

H2wOw’s five flavors include Lime Ginger, Watermelon Honeydew, Cucumber Lemongrass, Lemon Spearmint, and Mandarin Grapefruit. Each one is refreshing alone and can be mixed for even more variety. I like to mix the Lime Ginger and Lemon Spearmint for a fun new flavor. The bottles are easy to tote around and have loved having them in the car for long car rides. They are natural alternative that even my kids like to drink and ask for.
