2018 Word of the Year: CHANGE

2018 Word of the Year: CHANGE

So we are now a few weeks into 2018 as usual, I am behind where I want to be but this year is all about change for me! I may be behind in a few things (like the blog lol) but I am already ahead in so many other ways.

Change. It’s a pretty common word to use in life. While I recognize that people throw the word around all the time, it really just depends on how you want to use it. I am taking change to a whole new level this year. These are big changes that I want to make in my life, not just to say I changed, but things that really have a better effect for my health, happiness, and my family. It is also not about quick changes and to make real change you need to stick to that task for a minimum of 3 weeks (that’s 21 whole days) or your change does not stay with you.  I have also found that changes need to be made one at a time. If you are following my Instagram (and if you’re not then you should be), you’ve seen that I plan on making little changes throughout the year and sharing my progress with them all.

My BIG 2018 changes:

  1. Be Present More! This is my number one change for the year. The last few years have thrown some curveballs my way and while they have all been good things, they have taken away from my family. My kids are getting bigger every day and I want to be around and experience more of it.
  2. Get Heathier. This one is not only for me but my family! I am determined to eat healthier (which I will be sharing lots) and get back in a shape I am happy with. I no longer want I’m tired to be an excuse for not doing it all. There is a lot of information out there so I will be sorting through it and finding what works for me and hopefully you too.
  3. Strengthen my Mental Prowess. I am a pretty awesome person if I do say myself. I have let situations and people take some of that away from me the last many years and this year I am taking it back. Starting with the book “You’re a Badass” by Jen Sincero.
  4. Stick to a Reasonable Schedule. This year I need to stick firmer to the idea that “I can only do what I can do!” more. That applies to work (keep my hours down), home life (stress and cleanliness), and the blog (sticking to a post schedule that works). I want to do it all! There are so many aspects of me that I love and I want to help flourish to be the best me, but I have to stop pushing myself too far.

And countless little changes along the way! And maybe a few surprises too.

I Can only do what I can do

I will be sharing of my journey…especially the getting healthier side her on the blog along with my FitMom focus. Most will also be documented on my Instagram if you want to see more. The blog will be a lot more regular with more of schedule to what it being posted so be sure to check back often.

Let’s Change in 2018 together! You can help keep me on track and I would love to help you if I can let. Just let me know what you need.
